JACKSON COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - Jackson County deputies make an arrest in a sexual battery investigation, dating back to 2009.
The sheriff's office says that's when they began investigating Stephen Schmucker for claims that he molested a 3-year-old family member.
Deputies say the victim's family moved shortly after, but have since returned to Jackson County,motivating investigators to look more into the case.
Thursday, investigators interviewed Schmucker, who they say, admitted to committing several sexual acts on the victim.
He's now in the Jackson County Jail, charged with sexual battery.
