DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Police in Douglasville say a man has been arrested in the death of a 75-year-old woman who was found hogtied in her apartment.
Douglasville Police Chief Chris Womack told WXIA-TV that 53-year-old Odes Dupree of Douglasville was booked into the Douglas County Jail late Tuesday afternoon and is charged with felony murder.
Police have said Florene Duke was found dead in her apartment Nov. 10 and some of her belongings appeared to be missing from her home. Womack told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Dupree had been staying in an apartment near Duke and investigators believe Dupree had been in Duke's apartment before.
Womack says the investigation is ongoing and another arrest could be made.
It's unclear if Dupree has an attorney.
