Aqua Club Apartments Warning Residents to Be Safe After Shooting

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Police said a shooting involving a resident and guest occurred Wednesday evening at Aqua Club apartments.

Tallahassee Police Department said that the incident may have been the result of a drug deal gone bad, though they said that no one was injured.

In a message sent to all its residents, Aqua Club apartment management said, "It is our understanding this is believed to be an isolated incident." They also told residents that staff is cooperating with police and have terminated the leases of those involved. 

They reminded residents to:

Keep all doors and windows locked, even when inside the apartment

Do not share your keys/access cards with others

Be aware of your surroundings and walk in groups, when possible, particularly at night

- Avoid areas that are not well lighted

Never leave valuables in places that are visible to others, particularly in your vehicle

Aqua Club managers have also urged all residents to double check that all existing locks and latches are working properly and to notify them if repairs are needed.
