TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The City of Tallahassee is once again accepting applications, this time to fill two seats on the Independent Ethics Board.
City of Tallahassee officials say they are currently accepting applications to fill vacancies in Seat 1 and Seat 6.
The incumbents in each seat resigned in order to apply for the recently vacant seat on the city commission left by a federally indicted Scott Maddox.
The vacancy in Seat 1 will be filled by a city commission appointment. As an at-large position, Seat 6 will be filled by an individual selected by the Independent Ethics Board members in Seats 1 through 5.
The city commission is expected to make an appointment at its Jan. 30 meeting while the Independent Ethics Board is expected to make an appointment at its Feb. 16 meeting.
The deadline for City Commission consideration is 1 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019, and the deadline for Independent Ethics Board consideration is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.
A single application form and application process are being used, so, any applications considered by the city commission will also be eligible for consideration by the Independent Ethics Board.
