TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Supreme Court has denied an appeal from one of the people convicted in the death of former Florida A&M University drum major Robert Champion.
Davante Martin's attorneys argued that his case should be reheard because the state's statute on hazing is unconstitutional.
That also claim the trial court should have dismissed his charge of manslaughter and that they let evidence into the trial that they shouldn't.
A panel of judges denied that motion.
In January of 2015, Martin was sentenced to six years in prison.
