TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Paul Augustus Howell is scheduled to be executed Tuesday for the murder of a law enforcement officer.
Howell's attorneys have filed another appeal challenging his death sentence. The court will rule soon.
Howell was convicted of the 1992 murder of highway patrol trooper Jimmy Fulford.
He was killed during a traffic stop by an exploding pipe bomb that prosecutors say Howell built with the intention of killing a woman who had knowledge of a murder Howell committed.
