TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A tip about on-going drug sales led Tallahassee Police to discover 350 grams of cannabis, body armor, and a fully loaded AK-47 style weapon.

The Special Investigations Section received a tip via the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line about on-going drug sales and an investigator was immediately assigned to do a full follow up.

The Tallahassee Police Department said that they searched a home on Westbrook Court on Tuesday in response to the tip.

Investigators found and confiscated several items to include around 350 grams of cannabis, drug paraphernalia, body armor, a fully loaded AK-47 style weapon with 31 rounds of ammunition and 500 more rounds next to it, as well as 9mm and .380 caliber handgun.

Charles Rawls was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a dwelling where drugs are kept, used, or sold.

TPD says the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
