TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- Science organizations, teachers, museums, and corporations from all across the sunshine state came together at the Capitol Thursday.
This marks the third year of "Stem Day at the Capitol".
To celebrate, organizers showed off live scientific displays including a human-size recreation of "Angry Birds", 3D printing and virtual reality demonstrations.
The Westminster Academy robotics team drove the seven hours from Fort Lauderdale for stem day with their robot "Jack" who was designed to take a ball in and shoot it at a high goal within a second.
It was all with the goal to gain interest from lawmakers to support stem education, and show how the field can be fun and engaging.
