TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon County Schools and the Foundation for Leon County Schools are prepared to launch the 4th Annual Principal for A Day event.
On Thursday February 9th, participants will get the chance to shadow a principal for an entire day.
The event will have a one-on-one shadowing experience with principals at elementary, middle, or high-school levels and participate in various activities, meetings and events.
The purpose of this annual event is to further peoples' understanding of the challenges faced by our schools in an effort to bring more resources to the classroom.
For 30 years the Foundation has garnered private financial support for Leon County Schools to enhance classroom learning by closing the gap between the resources that tax dollars pay for and what is additionally needed for educational excellence.
