BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) – Residents in Bainbridge are ready for this year’s Yuletide Jubilee.
Those who come out to the Yuletide Jubillee can grab some s’mores, play games, and even have a snowball fight.
The city anticipates seeing about 500 to 1,000 people in the square Thursday night ready to have fun and get into the Christmas Spirit.
A number of school choruses and dance groups will be performing through the night as well.
At about 7:10 p.m. Thursday, the big Christmas tree will be lit, with Santa arriving shortly after to greet children and hear their Christmas wishes.
"It's just a great Christmas festivity that we do every year. It's kind of tradition here. It's fun to come out with your friends and family, let the kids go see Santa, look at all the lights we set up everywhere. We try to make this as special as possible," said Special Events Coordinator, Megan Wimberley.
There is also an area for children to write letters and mail letters to Santa.
The fun lasts until 8:30 p.m., though the lights will remain up in Willis Park through the end of the month.
