TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Artwork from hundreds of local and regional artists filled the Donald Tucker Civic Center for the annual Artopia fundraising event.

The Tallahassee-based organization offers education and comprehensive support to people affected by HIV/AIDS.

Artopia is all about improving resources for those battling these illnesses.

Big Bend Cares serves eight counties across north Florida.

Organizers say, this event has grown in popularity, drawing 750 people each year to enjoy original artwork from hundreds of artists.

"Artopia gives us money that is unrestricted that we can use for educational outreach programs and paying for health insurance for our clients," said Daniel Taylor. "Anything we're not able to pay for with restricted program money, we can use this money for."

This year features more than 300 art pieces. From woodwork, to photography, to pottery, there was something for everyone.

In addition to all the incredible artwork, local businesses and organizations donated gift baskets that you can bid on.
