The green and blue dots that turn to yellow dots represent the students and teachers who were injured.
Purple represents the 17 people killed.
Investigators from the Broward county sheriff's office made the video.
Victims' parents and community members viewed the animation Tuesday at the first meeting for the commission formed to investigate any governmental failures leading up to the shooting.
