Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) -- Amazon.com will be giving jobs to more than 1,000 people between its two new distribution centers in Florida.

The Ruskin center will deal with smaller packages while the one in Lakeland will handle larger items.

A large part of the job at both centers will involve shipping and packing materials.

An Amazon.com spokeswoman, Nina Lindsey says, most employees will be hired a few months before the centers open.

The centers are expected to be built by the end of the year.
