(WAAY) - Amazon says it is creating 30,000 part-time positions in the U.S. over the next year.
Most will be warehouse positions, but 5,000 jobs will be created in Amazon's 'Virtual Customer Service Program' that allows customer service workers to do their jobs from home.
Amazon says those home-based employees who work at least 20 hours or more, will receive benefits.
The Career Choice program is where Amazon prepays 95-percent of tuition for courses in high-demand fields.
Amazon previously announced plans to create 100,000 full-time jobs in the U.S. over the next 18 months.
