Alzheimer's Awareness: Support Groups for Caregivers

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- September is Alzheimer's Awareness Month, and every Tuesday, WTXL Sunrise is talking about some important information about the disease.

The Alzheimer's Project hosts dozens of support groups throughout Leon and surrounding counties. Officials say it's am important resource to get information and advice about Alzheimer's from other people who may be in a similar situation.

The Alzheimer's Project is hosting the "Forget Me Not" Walk and Festival. The kick-off party is Tuesday, September 29 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Momo's Pizza on Market Street.

The event is November 1 from 1:30 p.m. until 4 p.m.
