TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A local fundraiser to defeat ALS took place Thursday night.
The 2018 Tallahassee kick-off party took place at Ology Brewing Company.
ALS is a progressive neuro-degenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
It usually strikes people between the ages of 40 and 70.
The fundraiser was an opportunity to make strides to finding a cure as the disease currently doesn't have one.
