JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - An Alford man has been arrested after a traffic stop lead deputies found a large amount of meth in his car.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says that they arrested Darrell Watkins, 51, for trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than 20 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The sheriff's office says that a deputy was patrolling in the area of Kynesville Road in Marianna when he noticed Watkins make a traffic violation.
As a result of the violation, the deputy pulled Watkins over and immediately noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car.
A search of the car revealed that Watkins had approximately 24.67 grams of meth, multiple unused baggies and a burnt marijuana cigarette.
After the search, Watkins was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
