GRADY COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) -- A fugitive from Alachua County is behind bars in Grady County, Georgia.
Authories say they received a phone call from U.S. Marshals about an attack where a woman was nearly beaten to death on December 4 and that Ellison Jackson was named a suspect.
That information led them to Whigham, Georgia and they found Jackson at a car wash.
His charges are second degree attempted murder and grand theft auto.
He's awaiting extradition back to Florida.
The Whigham Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation also assisted in Jackson's capture.
