More bodies are recovered from the wreckage of AirAsia flight 8501 as Indonesian officials confirm locating parts of that plane.
according to the associated press, sonar equipment located 4 massive objects on the ocean floor believed to be part of the plane's body.
AirAsia flight 8501 went missing just moments after takeoff between Indonesia and Singapore.
Severe weather in the area caused many search efforts to be called off. However, crews have been able to locate the bodies of at least 30 of the 162 missing passengers.
The first body identified just days ago. The Executive Director of Indonesia's Disaster Victim Identification explained how other methods will be needed to identify other bodies.
"The first identified dead body was identified using fingerprints, and there after we will have to find another method, let say odontogram or dental records, DNA and some other things," said Anton Castilani.
Indonesia's Transport Ministry is temporarily suspending AirAsia Airlines. The agency will launch an investigation into why flight 8501 attempted to fly the route between Indonesia and Singapore despite not having permission to operate it.
