BOSTON, GA (WTXL) - A new corporate headquarters is opening up in Boston, and it's expected to make a big impact on the small town.
AG Pro, one of the largest John Deere dealerships in the world, is opening a facility in the area, creating jobs for residents.
The new headquarters has already hired 40 people for the location.
AG Pro says the 20,000 square foot site was an idea that started in 1988, as a way to be more engaged in the South Georgia area.
Ann McCrickard, chairwoman of Boston's Tourism Committee, says local businesses have made an incredible impact in the town of only 1,500 residents, and AG Pro will only add to the growth.
"We're very excited in Boston to have the headquarters of AG Pro building this wonderful structure out on 84. It will bring a lot of attention to our town that we would not have had otherwise," McCrickard said.
The new facility is expected to open at the beginning of August.
