TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man who's accused of recording himself having sex with a 15-year-old child is facing more than 100 new charges related to child pornography and solicitation of a minor.

Jesse T. Telander, 26, has been charged with 78 counts of possession of child pornography with intent to promote, 16 counts of transmission of harmful material to a minor, five counts of online solicitation of a minor, three counts of promoting the sexual performance of a minor, and two counts of transmitting child pornography to a minor.

Telander was originally charged with 15 counts of possession of child pornography in early January.

He is accused of traveling to Montana to have sex with a 15-year-old child.

Through investigation, the officer discovered "multiple messages of a sexual nature, messages detailing Telander traveling from Tallahassee to Montana in August, messages indicating sexual contact between the two with Telander stating he had videos of the sexual encounters and a message from the victim to Telander in November stating she was 15 years of age."

Investigators believe the victim was 14 years old when the contact with Telander started.

Documents say that when officers searched Telander's phone, they found 76 pictures and videos depicting the victim in a sexual nature as well as sexual videos Telander sent to the victim.

They also found various messages between the victim and Telander where they discussed selling nudes on Snapchat, the victim's age, a possible pregnancy, and sexual acts.

"It should be noted," documents say, "it appears Telander and the victim would call one another on the phone... with calls lasting for several hours. Furthermore, there is indication additional communication took place through multiple social media platforms."

Investigators believe there may be additional images of the victim as well as "substantial additional evidence" within their undiscovered social media communications. Documents say investigators are currently trying to recover these communications.

Based on what they've found so far, however, investigators found probable cause to arrest Telander for the additional charges. He was taken into custody on Friday. He has since been released from prison on his own recognizance.

Tallahassee man arrested for producing child porn in Montana, having sex with child

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man is out on bond after he admitted to investigators that he recorded himself having sex with a 15-year-old child.

Jesse T. Telander, 26, was jailed Wednesday and freed on bond Thursday.

According to an arrest document, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received information from a social media company about a 26-year-old man who was seemingly enticing a young child to have sex with him via private messages.

The company said that, between Dec. 18, 2018, and Dec. 21, 2018, the man had enticed the child  to produce and send explicit material. They believe the man may have also traveled to have sex with the child.

According to the document, a Tallahassee Police Department investigator was assigned to the case.

Other messages contained nude pictures of the child, some of which appeared to be created on Snapchat.

Documents say a search warrant was executed on Telander's residence on Jan. 2.

After waiving his Miranda rights, Telander admitted to having sex with the victim at a Montana hotel, whom documents note he knew by name. He also admitted to receiving sexually explicit images of the victim and to sending images of his genitals to the victim.

A search of Telander's phone turned up more images and videos. The investigator wrote that 15 items listed in the arrest report were "a very small sampling of the images and videos located on the phone."

More charges related to the images, videos and chats are expected in the future as well as additional charges from the Montana investigation.

Telander was booked into the Leon County Detention Center on 15 counts of possession of photographs of sexual performance by a child. He was freed on a $75,000 bond.

According to documents, the investigator in the case requested an active GPS monitor on Telander to "ensure he does not flee, and to ensure he does not travel to have contact with the victim."

Court records show the conditions of Telander's release are that he should have no unsupervised contact with a person under the age of 18, should have no internet access, and should not be within 500 feet of where children congregate.
