TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A competency hearing was held Friday for Adam Frasch, the local doctor whose wife was found dead in February in the family's swimming pool.

Frasch was arrested for custodial interference after he was found with his two children in Panama City Beach just hours after the body of his wife, Samira Frasch, was discovered.

Although he hasn't been charged with his wife's death, Chief Assistant State Attorney Georgia Cappleman has said that Frasch is a suspect in his wife's murder.

Friday's competency hearing was related to his child custody charges. It showed that Frasch is able to proceed in all aspects of the case, according to the state attorney's office.

The office also said that Frasch was evaluated by two doctors, and a judge will now issue a written order regarding his ability to go forward in the trial.

The state attorney's office says that no charges have been filed in the case of Samira Frasch's murder.

According to the state attorney's office, Frasch's trial is set for December 1st.
