TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A popular actress made a stop in the Capital City Wednesday to encourage students to get out and vote.
Aja Naomi King from the hit ABC TV show "How to Get Away with Murder", joined local leaders at FAMU Wednesday afternoon.
Dozens of students gathered near the eternal flame to hear from King, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum and other elected officials.
The group then headed to the courthouse so students could cast their ballots.
It's something King felt was so important for not only this election, but our country's future:
"When these young adults mobilize and take themselves to the polls and make sure that their voices are heard they're going to be changing the world and making history and every single one of them should have the opportunity to be apart of that and I'm so glad that I get to be a part making sure they get there," said King.
Election Day is this Nov. 8th. And catch "How to Get Away with Murder" on Thursdays, right here on WTXL ABC 27.
