DECATUR COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - Decatur County's huge solar project is complete.
Power started being added to the grid in 2015. Now, there are well over a million solar panels on two sites totaling 980 acres, all within miles of the industrial park.
The executive director of the Development Authority of Bainbridge and Decatur County says it's enough to power 28,000 homes.
Rick McCaskill says the the panels help keep taxes down.
There are also some other smaller solar panel projects in the county.
