TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- One Florida family, turned a Father's Day celebration into so much more.
"This is the best part of the year, to see all of your family and combine together," said Tearrah Sullivan.
The Wilson family reunion has been gathering for over 70 years. A simple Father's Day dinner evolved into a tradition that will be valued for a lifetime.
"Family needs to stay together. Without family there's nothing else existing. We have to have family. Family values are important to us because it teaches the young children how to carry the family function on," said Gladys Harison.
Family from all over the U.S., including some of their eldest member's, gather to attend events such as the annual family picnic and banquet, including some of the family's eldest members.
They hope this tradition is something they can continue to enjoy for another 70 years.
