THOMASVILLE, GA. (WTXL) - A South Georgia business is making quite the impact.

Sweet Grass Dairy has only been around for 15 years, but has been receiving national recognition for it's hand crafted artisan cheeses.

What started out as a local dairy, now ships its products to almost 40 states. The dairy sells its products to distributors, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, and online direct to consumers.

Sweet grass dairy features five core cheese, as well as seasonal specialties.

Sweet Grass Dairy Cheese Shop opened in 2010 in downtown Thomasville; where customers can order handcrafted cheese and charcuterie boards, as well as sample local beers.

The owner, Jessica Little, says she hopes the community can see how passionate sweet grass is about their product, "I think first and foremost, we want people to know that we're crazy about food. we love food in general, and we love sharing our finds. We love sustainable agriculture."

Sweet Grass Dairy consists of the 140 acre farm and production facility, an online mail order business, a creative and administrative headquarters, and a cheese shop; which are all located in Thomasville.
