TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - A Second Harvest warehouse in the southside of Tallahassee is shut down Friday after a rat infestation forced it to close.
The location is on South Adams Street and stores a variety of foods collected by the food bank. Second Harvest says, they were forced to throw away a small amount of food as a result and that they will no longer be able to take donations at the site.
They are in the process of moving everything to a different location and all food will be inspected before it makes the trip.
The non-profit distributes nearly 5.5 million pounds of food annually.
