While the Gulf of Mexico remains calm, there is some activity in the Central Atlantic Ocean. Shower and thunderstorm activity has picked up over the past few hours in a low pressure system just about 740 miles east southeast of Bermuda. This system has a 90% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours. As of now this disturbance seems to be moving northwest at 10 mph.
