TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend hosted a community meal distribution event Saturday.
Volunteers gathered at Greater Love Church of God in Christ to help fight hunger. The mobile pantry program delivers between 8 thousand to 12 thousand pounds of food to people in need. Also at the event, Bank of America presented America's Second Harvest with a 12 thousand donation.
One in six people face hunger in America including more than 100,000 people right here in the big bend region.
