PALMETTO - Authorities are looking for whoever shot and killed a miniature horse outside of a barn in Palmetto.
Manatee County Sheriff's detectives say the horse was shot between Sunday evening and Monday morning.
The owner, Savannah Bell, 25, discovered the horse on Monday when she went to the property at 2410 21st St. to check on her animals.
The horse was in an outside area near the stable and the barn.
No one lives on the property where the shooting occurred.
The horse is valued at $1,500.
