MIAMI SHORES, Fla. (AP) - The mayor of Miami Shores has been robbed by two teens.
Local news organizations report that the teenagers snatched Mayor Alice Burch's purse Tuesday night near a coffee shop.
Miami Shores police say the mayor chased after them and tried to grab them, but was thrown to the ground. The teens then drove away in a getaway car.
Police spokesman James Somohano says authorities later located the teens and arrested them.
Officials believe at least one more person might have been involved in the robbery.
