Meth Lab Bust at Tallahasse Best Western Inn Hotel Room

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- Three people have been arrested after Leon County Sheriff deputies discover a methamphetamine lab in the vehicle and hotel room of Raymond Powell, Cathy Powell and Cassandra Gibson.

Deputies received a call from a concerned citizen that Raymond Powell was manufacturing meth in his hotel room at the Best Western Inn on Apalachee Parkway. Detectives waited outside the hotel until the trio left their room. Deputies then conducted a traffic stop and all three were taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

Upon searching the vehicle deputies found a mobile meth lab inside the vehicle. A search warrant was then issued to obtain the hotel room at the Best Western Inn. Inside, detectives discovered additional items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

All three individuals have been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of precursor chemicals and possession of drug paraphernalia.
