ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Sheriff's officials say a 26-year-old man is accused of arranging to kidnapping an 11-year-old central Florida girl he met over social media.
The girl was reported missing from her home in Apopka on Saturday, triggering an AMBER Alert.
Officials found her hours later in Florida’s Panhandle with Ronald Greene.
Deputies arrested Greene on charges of kidnapping a child under the age of 13 and luring or enticing a child.
An arrest warrant says Greene used Instagram to meet and groom her, even telling her what to pack before her disappearance, according to WFTV. Green is in jail in Santa Rosa County, awaiting transfer back to Orange County.
A lawyer isn't listed on jail records.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office described the case as "a cautionary tale for parents."
