JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The remains of a Florida teen who had been missing for one year have been found.

Jacksonville Sheriff's officials say the skeletal remains of 18-year-old Corbin Johnson were wrapped in some type of plastic bag or tarp and discovered when a man clearing land dug them up with his tractor. Authorities identified Johnson Monday and say the case is being investigated as a homicide, but offered no details on how they were able to identify the teen so quickly.

Milissa Morman-Jackson says she last saw her son at 9:30 p.m. on July 11, 2018 after he'd gone on several job interviews earlier that day. His dad grew concerned when Johnson didn't respond to a text message the following morning.

The Florida Times-Union reports police have not released the cause of death. First Coast News reports JSO is now investigating his death as a murder.
