Man arrested in fatal shooting on Autumn Lane

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A man has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting that happened earlier this month on Autumn Lane.

The Leon County Sheriff's office says the shooting happened on April 10 in the 2000 block of Autumn Lane.

Deputies first responded to the scene around 12 p.m., where they found two victims suffering from injuries.

They say both victims were transported to a local hospital, one with life threatening injuries and one with non life threatening injuries.

Sadly, one of the victims died from his injuries.

LCSO tells ABC 27 the other victim has been released from the hospital since the shooting.

During the investigation the suspect was identified as 27-year-old Marquese Owens.

He was arrested and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility on Sunday.

Owens is facing multiple charges including premeditated homicide, firing a weapon inside a vehicle or building and possession of weapon by a convicted felon,

At this time, the Sheriff's Office has not released any other details about the shooting.
