TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The beauty industry is booming, and the limits are endless for licensed professionals.
Hair stylist Kaylyn Williams joined us on WTLX Sunrise for another edition of Your Career to discuss tips to make it in the industry.
Williams says the cosmetology field is a ideal for those with creative interest and business savvy.
But before you can pick up the scissors and hair spray, you have to have schooling. The state of Florida requires cosmetologists to have 1200 education hours from an accredited cosmetology school. That's even before you can take your board exams.
Lastly, Williams recommends that you do your research before picking a school and find a seasoned hair stylist to help you through your education.
