Fashion Designer, Lawrence Allen joined us on WTXL Sunrise for edition of "Your Career" to discuss what it takes to break into the fashion world.
Allen is the founder and mastermind behind his L. Allen brand. He touts ten years of experience in retail management and working with the fashion design program at Florida State.
Allen says the key to a successful career in fashion design is passion and drive. He also recommends a thick skin to be able to deal with criticism.
Allen started sewing early on at home. He says that's step one. It's also a good idea to get schooling on the business aspect of fashion desgin.
