GADSDEN Co., Fla. (WTXL) - The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office is donning aprons and trays to help Special Olympics participants in Gadsden County make it to the Summer Games in Orlando, Florida.
The 2nd Annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser is their first fund raising event this year and hopes to make a dent in getting these athletes to Orlando.
VIDEO: Deputy Marcus Dixon and Lt. Richard Crutcher joined us on Sunrise to talk about the fundraiser and the Law Enforcement Torch Run which also helps raise money for the Summer Special Olympics.
The event takes place on Wednesday, April 1 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Havana Hobbits at 7771 Florida/Georgia Hwy.
