Veterans Day Countdown - 'I Honor' Program

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Veterans Day is approaching fast but it takes a lot of preparation to honor our Veterans. That is why every Thursday until November, 11, Joe West, the President of Veteran Events in Tallahassee, will be joining us on Sunrise to talk about all of the events and activities leading up to the holiday.

"I Honor" is a program that allows individuals to purchase a flag and dedicate it to a service member in their life. The flags are $15 and you get to put the service members name, rank, and a photo. You can also honor multiple people on one flag.

All of the flags collected will be placed in the "Field of Honor" before Veterans Day. The goal this year is to have 27,000 flags in the field to honor all of the Active Duty service persons and Veterans in the Big Bend.

You can learn more about this and the many other Veterans Day events happening in the Big Bend by visiting VetEventsTally.org.
