TALLAHASSEE, FL -- America’s Second Harvest is gearing up for its biggest food drive of the year!
‘Stamp Out Hunger’ benefits the 61,200 food insecure neighbors in Leon County.
Here’s how it works:
Local letter carriers will deliver empty bags to the homes and residents are asked to fill the bags with healthy, low-sodium, low sugar and high protein items such as tuna, peanut butter, soup and canned meats. Residents will then leave the donations at their mailboxes.
The day-long event is Saturday, May 13.
