TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - A new invention is pulling water out of thin air! Not really, it's actually extracting humidity and condensing it into drinkable water. A designer in Austria created this water bottle called "Fontus." It can produce a half quart of water in 1 hour. But there's a catch, the air temperature has to be between 86 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit, with 80 to 90 percent humidity. The goal is to put these in areas around the world where there is little groundwater but high humidity.
These floating bonsai trees could come right out of a sci-fi movie. "Air bonsai" is in the middle of a Kickstarter campaign and has raised more than 150 thousand dollars. For the low price of 200 bucks you can have your own bonsai starter kit, which includes the magnetic base and a mossy ball to hold the plant. Air bonsai does have a few limitations, the magnetic base needs to be plugged in at all times, and you can't water the plant while it's floating. But it's cool to look at nonetheless!
The future is here, robots that can make ramen in 90 seconds. Koya and Kona are the names of the robots and they work at Toyako Robot Ramen in Shanghai, China. The robots can't actually make the noodles, but they can boil, serve, and pour the correct amount of soup in each bowl. A bowl will cost about 9 US dollars. Four types of ramen are served at the restaurant, but the robots only make the beef dish.
