TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - This morning on Tsaparis Tscience, Meteorologist Max Tsaparis is bringing us a wide array of science stories!

The first is a bit of a weird one; a 300 year old Mexican statue of Jesus was undergoing some art restoration and in the process when anthropologists took an X-Ray of the artwork. The X-Ray showed that the Jesus statue has real human teeth in it's mouth. It is unknown how the statue got the teeth but researchers say it may be part of a tradition in which body parts were donated to the church for religious purposes.

Next up, a huge crack formed near the town of Hermosillo, also in Mexico. It runs nearly two thirds of a mile and is 30 feet deep by 15 feet wide. Geologists attribute this giant split to a five point zero magnitude earthquake that hit earlier this month coupled with heavy rainfall from earlier this week.

Finally, in Kenya a crocodile and three lions go head to head over who gets to eat a nearby elephant carcass. The lions have a full-fledged attack on the croc and in the end the crocodile concedes and the cats enjoy their heard earned meal.

You can hear more about all of these by clicking on the video to the left.
