ORLANDO, Fla. (WTXL) -- Universal Orlando resort announced plans to build their fifth mega-hotel resort.
Universal Orlando is teaming up with Loews Hotel & Resorts to build the new Sapphire Falls Resort. The 1,000-room, Caribbean-themed resort is set to open in the summer of 2016.
Renderings posted online show various aspects of the new resort, which will also boast a 131,000 square foot meet and event space.
The announcement comes in the midst of on going growth at the theme park resort, including the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Diagon Alley, which opened earlier this summer.
