MIAMI, Fla. (WTXL) -- Royal Caribbean unveiled Monday what they're calling the "most technologically advanced ship ever to sail."

In the video announcement, Royal Caribbean CEO Richard Fain said "Quantam of the Seas" will soon feature faster internet speeds and new technologies changing the customer experience.

Among the features announced is "Smart Check-In". Cruisers will soon be able to "check in" online by uploading their own photo and getting a digital boarding confirmation. Fain says once rolled out the program will let cruisers get on board quicker without the forms and the lines. Once at the terminal all cruisers will need to do is scan their boarding pass and passport.

Losing luggage will also soon be a thing of the past. Royal Caribbean announced passengers on "Quantam of the Seas" will also be given RFID-equipped luggage tags, giving them the ability to track their luggage from check-in until it's delivered in their stateroom.

The final major technology-related announcement sounds very similar to Walt Disney World's MyMagic+ wristband system. Royal Caribbean unveiling their WOWbands. Equipped with RFID chips, the wrist bands will serve several purposes for cruisers, including charge card and stateroom key card.
