TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Plastic surgery is getting its own make-over.
Recent innovations have improved non under-the-knife surgery techniques.
Dr. Scott Asher, M.D., a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery, joined us on WTXL Sunrise for more information. Click the thumbnail for more information.
According to Dr. Asher, some of the best new strategies for patients include:
Newer treatments patients are likely unfamiliar with, like micro-needling, and The new FDA-approved treatment Kybell. That's a fat-dissolving medication that treats double chins, and it's set to hit the market in just a few weeks. Dr. Asher says most patients will need a few sessions to see the permanent results, and the cost is in the hundreds, not thousands.
Newer fillers like Restylane and Juvederm have almost all but eliminated things like Collagen.
Dr. Asher says science's new innovations to replace surgery are better for your body, have less harsh side effects and recovery time and the risk factor goes way down.
