TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Everyone can't wait to find out the results of the 2014 Florida Elections. Many people even make it their job to try and figure out who will win before it happens; others let the computer do the work for them.
DecisionLink 2014 is putting man against machine in a competition to see who can get the closest election results, and the winner get to donate prize money to a charity of their choice. This is the first year that the DecisionLink machine will be making predictions prior to the election. In the testing, data from past elections was entered and the machine made predictions from those. You can learn more about how DecisionLink works by clicking on the video to the left.
Sixteen different Republican and Democrat political consultants across the state are competing but you have the opportunity to participate as well. You can complete a ballot with how you think the 2014 elections will turn out for the chance to win prizes. The more people that vote, the more money that is donated from various sponsors to go into the pot for the winning charity.
If you would like to participate you can vote by clicking here. You can learn more about the project by visiting here.
