(WTXL) — Pastor Quincy D. Griffin and Event Chair Rhonda Potter joined WTXL Tuesday morning to tell us about Shoes4School event.

Footwear can be one of the most visible signs of poverty, and we believe that no child should have to encounter pain, humiliation, or a lack of confidence due to poorly made, damaged, and/or ill-fitting shoes. Since 2017, more than 2,000 children in need have received a brand new pair of shoes through the Shoes4School Giveaway.

This year, event organizers are gearing up for one of their largest, highly anticipated projects, the 3rd Annual Shoes4School Giveaway on Sunday, August 11, 2019.
