(WTXL) — Dr. Benny L. Bolden, Jr., and Janelle Bullard, the interim principal and vice principal of R. Frank Nims Middle School, joined us on WTXL Sunrise Thursday morning to talk about Gentleman's Tie Day.

Gentleman's Tie Day is geared towards promoting collaboration, education, conflict resolution, life skills, leadership, professionalism, critical thinking, and teamwork in young men at the middle school as they go through the process of becoming a man. The idea is to transform their mentality by focusing on their advantages instead of the discrepancies.

CareerSource will also be at the event to offer parents of the students who are participating career readiness, resume writing, and various resources. Additionally, on Oct. 14, male students at the school will receive free hair cuts.

Gentleman's Tie Day is happening at the school on Oct. 15 at 10 a.m.
