(WTXL) — Monique Ellsworth with the Second Harvest of the Big Bend joined WTXL Tuesday morning to tell us about this year's Turkey Drive.
Second Harvest is the food bank that serves 11 counties in the Big Bend, Which has the highest food insecurity rate in our state.
Please come out to the turkey drive on November 14, and drop off a frozen turkey or a monetary donation to support needy families this holiday season.
Second Harvest has two convenient locations—Ponce de Leon park in downtown Tallahassee, or Bannerman Crossing. Second Harvest will be at Ponce de Leon Park at 5 a.m. and at Bannerman Crossing beginning at 6 a.m..
Second Harvest will be collecting turkeys all day long until 6:30 p.m.
WTXL ABC 27 is also a proud sponser of the Turkey Drive! Together with our partners, Legacy Toyota, the Tallahassee Police Department and the Downtown Tallahassee Improvement Authority, we’ll be there collecting turkeys and monetary donations to help our neighbors in need throughout the Big Bend region.
