(WTXL) — Carol Gordon from New Mt. Zion AME Church along with Capital Area Community Action Agency Inc. CEO Tim Center joined us on WTXL Sunrise Monday morning to talk about the upcoming Community Resource Fair.

New Mount Zion (NMZ) African Methodist Episcopal Church's official outreach ministry, Zion Cares, Inc., will host its annual Community Resource Fair on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Children, family and senior services, blood pressure and cholesterol screenings, exercise and eating tips, and financial pointers are just a few of the many areas that will be highlighted as part of the resource fair.

More than 30 vendors have been invited along with local food distribution trucks.

This event's goal is to address the disconnect between resources available to the community and how to access these resources, increasing both community awareness and access.

This free event is open to the public.
